Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Country Generator ("Country Generator", "the platform", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.

Description of Service

Country Generator is a geography games and tools platform. The platform offers interactive games including flag guessing, capital quizzes, map challenges, and tools such as the Visited Countries tracker and Random Country generator.

You may use the platform without creating an account. Creating an account allows you to save your progress, appear on leaderboards, and sync your data across devices.

User Accounts

When you create an account, you are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account

You may sign up using an email address or through Google OAuth. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the platform without permission
• Submit false or misleading data to manipulate leaderboards or game results
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service

Your Data and Content

You own the data you create on Country Generator, including your visited countries selections, game history, and profile information. You can delete your account, and the data tied to it, at any time from your profile settings. To request a copy of your data, contact us at the address below.

By using the platform, you grant us a limited license to store and display your data as necessary to provide the service (for example, displaying your scores on leaderboards).

Third-Party Content and Data Sources

Country Generator builds on open data:

• Country facts: Names, capitals, currencies, languages, populations, and borders come from the community-maintained mledoze/countries dataset, published under the Open Database License (ODbL). We apply a small number of corrections of our own where the dataset is out of date.
• Maps: Map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap and built from OpenStreetMap data, which is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL. Country outlines are derived from Natural Earth, a public domain dataset.
• Flags: Country flag images come from open-source flag collections and are used under their respective licenses.

We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of this data, and we are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services. Country borders, names, and data shown on the platform reflect these sources and do not represent political opinions or endorsements.

Flag images

The flag images are Twemoji graphics by Twitter, Inc. and other contributors (https://github.com/jdecked/twemoji), licensed under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). We changed the colours of some flags to their official values, and Afghanistan's flag is the current design from Wikimedia Commons (public domain).

Premium Features

We plan to introduce premium features in the future. When premium features become available, additional terms related to payments, subscriptions, and refunds will apply. Those terms will be presented to you before any purchase is made.

Existing functionality available at the time of your registration will not be retroactively placed behind a paywall without prior notice.

Intellectual Property

The Country Generator platform, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without written permission.

Country flags, map data, and factual country information are sourced from public and open-source datasets and are subject to their respective licenses.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Country Generator is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the platform's availability, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

We do not guarantee that:

• The platform will be available at all times without interruption
• Game data, scores, or progress will never be lost
• Country data from third-party sources will always be accurate or up to date

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Country Generator and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from errors in third-party data.

Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of significant changes.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action.
